Sara is a singer from Tyrol, now based in Vienna, where she’s always somewhere between rehearsal, teaching, and the next musical idea she can’t stop thinking about.

She sings in various projects such as sierro, PRYZMA and Funkstelle, where she gets to play with sounds, moods, and a bit of chaos in the best possible way. Alongside that, she works as a backing vocalist for Semino Rossi and performs at weddings, ceremonies, corporate events, hotels and other special occasions.

Sara studied singing at the Mozarteum Salzburg, Campus Innsbruck, JIMI and the mdw – University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, collecting technique, experience and plenty of inspiration along the way.

When she’s not performing, she teaches vocals and loves helping people discover their own voice — and perhaps calm their nerves a little, too. She also has a soft spot for experimenting with sound, especially effect pedals and live FX, because she likes vocals that can be dreamy, unusual or unexpected.

At the end of the day, she’s simply someone who loves singing in all its forms.

Sara won the TAT Nachwuchsjazzpreis Tirol in 2023.

Projects

PRYZMA

PRYZMA is a live-electronica quintet based in the Austrian Alps. Their sound fuses the hypnotic energy of club music with the organic flow of a live performance. Ethereal vocals and pop-driven hooks meet pulsating 808s, trippy synths and spherical guitar layers over pumping basslines. Originating from classical, experimental and jazz backgrounds and influenced by artists such as 5KHD, Klangphonics, Monolink, Djrum or Kerala Dust, PRYZMA unfolds a kaleidoscopic trip along infinitely thin lines. Lately, PRYZMA have been featured at various festivals such as Gans Anders, Botanica, Noiz im Park, the Outreach Jazz Festival and coll:b am hof.

FUNKSTELLE

Gestatten: Funkstelle! Wenn die Funkstelle den Hahn aufdreht, kann nur ein Sound folgen, der gleichermaßen unter die Haut geht wie in die Beine. Ob Klassiker à la Tower of Power oder eigene Kompositionen: Die zehnköpfige Wiener Funkformation bringt jede Crowd auf Touren und sorgt dafür, dass niemand lange im Leerlauf bleibt. Stimme und Bläsersatz fusionieren mit Bass und Drums, während Gitarre und Piano dem Sound den nötigen Treibstoff verleihen. So entsteht ein Groove, der direkt zündet, lange nachhallt und die Funkstelle zuverlässig im Gedächtnis aller Konzertbesucher:innen verankert.
